COMM 1533 DeVry University Communication Skills Question
Description: This is a 2 part assignment. The 1st part is the discussion post. The 2nd part is responding to 3 classmates posts. After the initial discussion post is completed I will then add 3 of the classmates posts so that you can write 1 short response to each post.
Materials: I am attaching screenshots of the Learning Objectives reading which looks long because they are screenshots and several of them but tit’s really not long at all.
Assignment: Listening is one of the most important, but most difficult, of our communication skills. You can hear, and not listen. Because of this, we fall into the bad behaviors discussed in module 2.
Understanding this…
1. Which of the faulty listening behaviors do you tend to fall into more often?
2. Explain why you fall into them and explain what happens to the understanding of the language and communication used (meaning: do you understand the message being sent to you? Have you created conflict in that relationship?).
3. Then explain how you can become a better listener.
