EU Business School ZZ Company Business Management Questions
ZZ company has hired you as Retail
Manager to develop a new line of stores in your country. To do this,
you want to carry out a series of initiatives that require the
approval of your superior. At the meeting to present your plan, the
ZZ management committee presents you with the following questions
that you must resolve:
1-Human Resources manager ask you: In a
ZZ retail environment, how would you distinguish between pre-training
and on-boarding? Why are they both necessary? (20 points)
2-You propose that a modern electronics
point of sale system be installed in stores. What are the key
benefits to ZZ as a retailer of installing modern electronic
point-of-sale systems and linking them up to stock control,
management, and re-ordering? (20 points)
3-The marketing director of ZZ new food
division, who is also attending the meeting, asks you: Why do you
think that supermarkets have been at the forefront of the movement to
use category management? What is the basic premise of category
management? (20 points)
4-Your project include to open a discount
clothing store because you can buy a shipment of men’s long-sleeve
shirts at $12 each. You know that ZZ Group price policy wants a 30
percent markup at retail. Financial Director as a guest ask you: What
retail price should the new store charge to achieve this markup? (20
5-In your new plan stores you have showed
that you have the following promotional objectives:
- To increase impulse purchases perfume
- To project a reliable image
- To increase customer loyalty rates
ZZ Sales Director ask you, for each of
these promotional goals that you mention above, how you will
evaluate promotional effectiveness? (20 points)
