I’m working on a business writing question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.
According to Merriam-Webster, self-motivation is defined as “driven by one’s own desires and ambitions” while resilience is defined as “the ability of a person to adjust to or recover readily from illness, adversity, major life changes, etc”. Throughout life, in sports, school, and work, these are valuable and important aspects to understand. While friends and family can often be helpful cheerleaders, to achieve the goals and dreams one has set for themselves, it is imperative to be able to be able to dig deep and “power through” during challenging times. It is easy to arrive and remain in a comfort zone. However, “Comfort is the enemy of progress”. For the assignment this week, you are to discuss the differences and similarities of self-motivation and resilience while discussing how these are connected to emotional intelligence according to your readings and research. If you use any outside sources, be sure to cite them.
